Worked on: Virtual Material Qualification Tests
The objective of the project was to virtually test various composite materials to analyse their behavior in various loading situation. To do this we have mimicked many ASTM composite testing standards like D3039 among others. CAD models of specimen is created in CATIA and meshing and FEM pre-processing is done hypermesh and Patran respectivily.
– Bombardier being the my first work-space, I have learnt many language while doing this project. The software like Nastran, Patran, Hypermesh and CATIA.
– Team work and work ethics are few characteristics I learned while working here.
– One of the example we worked is demonstrated below. This specimen is for one the ASTM test.

Work Description: Working on mathematical modelling of the optics of the Headlight and Signal lamp. Formulating the physics of the optics and generating the algorithm and testing it in MATLAB and CATIA.
